I'M WORRIED I'LL BE PULLING A STRAPLESS DRESS UP ALL DAY

If there’s one thing that really annoys me when I see photos of brides (who haven’t bought their dress from me) it’s a badly fitted strapless dress. The ones where the neckline sits away from the chest, looking like you could keep a packed lunch down there. Or the one that doesn’t feel secure so the bride is constantly pulling it up.

So is that the case for all strapless dresses? Absolutely not. It's only the case for a BADLY FITTED strapless dress.

There is no reason for a strapless dress to fit any more badly or feel any less secure than any other type of dress. Use a specialist bridal seamstress worth their salt, and the dress will fit like a glove and feel secure. Bodice tucks make the dress sit flat to your chest. Good fitting, along with techniques like inner corsets/straps, boning and bra channels will make that dress feel like its part of your body.

So if you want a strapless dress, go for it – just make sure you get it properly fitted. And if you don’t want one, that’s fine – just be sure its because you don’t like them, not because you are worried about the fit.
